Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture

What is Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture ?

Often referred to as the “acupuncture facelift,” Mei Zen- meaning “beautiful person”- is a cosmetic acupuncture system rooted in traditional Chinese medicine principles. This minimally invasive technique uses superficial needling to stimulate the skin and underlying tissues, supporting circulation and the body’s natural repair processes. The controlled micro-stimulation created by each needle encourages skin renewal and may support collagen and elastin production, helping to improve overall skin tone and appearance. Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture may also provide supportive care for certain facial nerve conditions, such as Bell’s palsy and post-stroke facial paralysis. For the face and neck, 10 treatments are recommended twice a week for five weeks.

The needles used in cosmetic and therapeutic acupuncture are extremely thin and inserted superficially. Most patients feel little to no discomfort, though some may notice a slight pinching or tingling sensation in sensitive areas. Some individuals, especially during abdominal acupuncture or the first few sessions, may experience stronger stimulation during or shortly after treatment. Overall, acupuncture is generally well-tolerated and often described as relaxing.
